Top 5 Ways to Fix Your Nutrition

Many times we desire to increase our health and vitality but oh where to begin?

1). Water - Make sure that you are drinking enough. Many times issues such as headaches, cramps  and constipation stem from being dehydrated. Try to drink very little at meal time and if any save it for the end of the meal. It's best to drink water either room temperature or hot. This aids in better digestion and absorption of nutrients from your meal. The recommended amount of water to consume daily is ½ ones body weight in ounces. It's great to start and end your day with a glass of water either room temperature or hot.

2). Salt - Unprocessed sea salt such as REAL salt and , CELTIC sea salt have all 74 plus trace minerals need by the body. Salt holds water in solution therefore aiding to prevent cramping, headaches and constipation as mentioned above. Salt feeds the adrenal glands and is one ingredient the digestive system uses to make HCL in the stomach.

3). Digestion - ALL DISEASE starts in the GUT. There are many ways we can help keep the digestive fire strong and healthy. Drinking some ginger tea is a great way to rekindle the digestive process along with, fennel, cumin and coriander utilized in the meal or also used as a tea. Drinking a spoonful of apple cider vinegar along with some water is also a great natural digestive aid. These tips are easy to incorporate into your daily routine and you will notice a nice difference in the health of your digestive system.

4). Decrease the Sugar - in your diet. Sugar is causing so many diseases and is the real culprit in obesity. Fruit is a great replacement for processed sugar. My motto is for every one piece of fruit you need to have two cups of greens, as we all have a tendency to over eat sugar so lets try and become aware. Also fruit needs to be eaten at least 1-2 hours before or after meals. Mixing fruits with vegetables can cause digestive discomfort.

5). Greens - We all need to increase our consumption of green vegetables whether it be by increasing the amount of salads that we eat or cooked vegetables or incorporating them into our soups and meals. Remember to add butter or coconut oil, olive or sesame seed oil onto your vegetables in order for our bodies to utilize the nutrients in the green vegetables.

 These  5 ways to fix you nutrition are meant for all of us. Try and become aware. Just by doing any one of these suggestions one should notice a positive change.

We need to “service” our body, so that our body can serve us for a lifetime. There is power in knowledge and application! I give people tools so that we can all take responsibility for our health, fitness and healing.  knowledge changes lives.  There are so many things that are out of our control, but there are plenty of things we can control and focus on making improvements.  Our decisions and choices shape our futures. Teaching people how to eat and get fit so that one can take charge over one’s health and fitness...forever! This is accomplished through one on one personal training and nutrition coaching, educational DVDs, demo's and mini-lecture series.
Many years of exposure to environmental toxins and chemicals, processed foods, hormones in our food, and inadequate water supply promote degenerative diseases and nutritional deficiencies. This results in organ/system dysfunction. For if our body isn’t receiving the necessary nutrients we cannot expect to function optimally. The body will do the best it can with what it has been given. It can be likened to trying to build a mansion with only the materials for building a shack. It won’t and cannot happen.
